Notes sync between iOS devices, but not to iCloud

My iPhone running iOS6 and iPad running iOS5 sync NOTES with no problem between themselves, but nothing syncs to iCloud which I access via www.icloud.com/#notes on my PC (Windows 7).

On the iCloud web site all I ever have is an almost empty Note list in the left frame with only a single"New Note" titled entry. Interestingly that table of contents Frame is labeled "All iCloud (1)" which seems a little strange.

I have Deleted the iCloud account from my phone and then restored it. The phone restored corretly with all my Notes, but the PC iCloud web page remains unchanged from the one empty new note.

It doesn't matter if I add a new note to the PC or an iOS device, nothing appears on the other (exccept the two iOS devices immediately sync OK).

I have NO account choices on my iOS devices nor on the iCloud web page allowing me to specify what account to sync which leads me to believe everything thinks it is all correctly going to my Apple Account ID which seemed to be the only way to set up a new iCloud service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really use Notes a lot and am very frustrated by not being able to view/edit them on the PC.

Thanks.

You'll need to ensure that you are using notes in the iCloud And not local notes on your iPhone or iPad, when you create the note. Go to settings, and then Notes to adjust the standard Account to iCloud. Then go to notes and tap Accounts at the top Left, and enter the iCloud Section. All new notes will now be in icloud. Old notes you have to copy and paste manually.

I do have an iCloud email account that I never use. All my mail is on gmail.

There are 5 messages in my iCloud mail, but nothing current. The latest message there is from early August.

I do note that my Notes account for iCloud seems to be myname@me.com, but my Apple and iCloud accounts were set up with myname@gmail.com.

I can find no way to change this though.

If I go to the My Account Settings (clicking on my name on the Home page of iCloud) the Apple ID indicates kenburkhalter@me.com.

That is not my Apple ID (at least as far as I am concerned!)

As I indicated, my iCloud email account in the iCloud web page only shows a few very old emails, none more recent than early August.

The iCloud control panel on my PC is the most current as of today.

Keep the ideas coming.

So far, been there- done that on everything suggested :-)

I have been logging into iCloud with my kenburkhalter@gmail.com ID as that is my standard ID.

But if it try kenburkhalter@me.com then I get the same few and old emails and a Notes display that says "All iCloud (0)" vs "All iCloud (1)" with me normal ID.

However the iCloud (0) contents frame on the left is empty vs having an empty New Note entry.

The false Apple ID is worse than the correct gmail one.

Will do. Interesting suggestion. Since Notes was originally tied into Apple email (in its own private folder) that is a shrwed suggestion.

When Notes finally appeared in the newest iCloud release, I had asusmed that it was finally an App in its own right, but if you are right, then Apple has just "dressed up" the original method and mail is still needed.

I'll report back what happens!

Turned on iCloud Mail on the iPhone (along with Notes) and added a new Note.

Waited one hour and checked into PC iCloud Notes web page and there are no changes, so my new note never got there.

Then tried adding a new note on the web page ,but when I did I received an error comment "new note" could not be saved. Please try again later.

It appears there is no web based connection into the iCloud for Notes, Mail, or Calendar BUT all of my Contacts sync between all devices instantly and without issues.

How can one work but the other three fail?
