I dont't know but I have the same problem with my iPhone 5. I am listening most of the time to streaming radio on my iPhones at home or in the car and it works great without interuptions, as long as I use my iPhone 4 or my iPhone 4S. I drive the car from Connecticut to Vermont without losing connection at all. Since I have an iPhone 5 the problem started. I open my radio app, the phone says: connecting, buffering for a couple seconds and starts playing music. 20 seconds later, the music stops, connecting, buffering, starts playing again, 10 seconds later, the same thing, over and over again! I did the test with my iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 next to each other, connected both to the same radio station, iPhone 4 no interuptions, iPhone 5 constantly connecting, buffering!

It doesn't really matter if the signal is weak or strong, I am testing this together with an iPhone 4S, both connected to the same radio app. Sometimes the connection is strong, other times it's weak (because I am in the car and moving) the iPhone 4S keeps playing, the 5 keeps buffering every 10/20 seconds. And oh yeah, I have turned off 4G LTE but it doesn't make a difference.

Restoring the iPhone you say, as in iTunes? I could try that but I see a lot of people having connection problems with the 5. Could there be something else going on? Because what you just told me to do is a guess right?

I'll let you know after the restore!

I wonder if Apple has a solution for that...

Just got an iPhone 5... (now on iOS 6.1.4)... Great device, but just has the internet radio wi-fi streaming problem as orignially described in the first post.... this happens for me with several radio streaming supporting apps.... bummer..... all worked fine on previous iPhone 4 (AT&T network)...... just seems to be buffering alot after maybe a minute or so of running.... bummer (again)... using current Cisco (Linksys) N capable router with latest firmware...hmmmm

I went to the Apple store this weekend with my problem. The "genius" that handled my problem said that there is nothing wrong with the phone. He told me to reinstall the app, and to restore the iPhone to factory settings. He asked me if the phone is slow when loading web pages! I showed him my 4 S and the 5 next to each other, the 4 keeps playing, the 5 keeps buffering. And still he keeps saying there is nothing wrong with the phone. He told me ( nothing new) I reinstalled the app while I was in the Apple store with the Genius next to me, the buffering keeps going on. There is nothing wrong with the iPhone he says again. I gave up! Went home, restored the iPhone 5 to factory settings and tested it... The iPhone 5 keeps buffering. Nothing wrong with the phone? Not so sure of that. The " Genius" refused to give me another iPhone 5. Apple, are you kidding me?

Robert, did you have an iPhone 4 or 4s?

And did that iPhone 4 buffer just like the iPhone 5?

And that is my frustration, I am testing these 2 iPhones next to each other, a 4 and a 5, the 4 plays, the 5 buffers!

Noooo sir, there is nothing wrong with your phone... Am I going crazy or what?

I wonder if somebody from Apple reads these posts...

There must be a solution for this but Nobody seems to know what it is and not a word from the Geniuses this time.

I am getting a 5s today, I wonder if that solves the problem...
