just got the iphone 5 and im getting annoyed with it cause the shortest timeout is 1minute. all other mobiles have the option to change this from 5 seconds upwards. why am i not finding the setting?

The shortest auto-lock for the iPhone has been 1 minute. You can turn it off yourself by tapping the sleep/wake button. That will turn it off immediately.

Unfortunately, 1 minute is what the developers thought should be the minimum time the phone should be on until it automatically locks. There is nothing less than 1 minute to set it to.
