Sep 27, 2012 11:59 AM in response to medillustratorby medillustrator,I realize that I can still use it and I really like the ipad1. I am wondering if it will be more vulnerable to security problems - that type of thing.
Also - will apps be more likely to be made just for the newer ipads. There are many games that seem intriguing but won't run on the ipad1.

Sep 27, 2012 11:59 AM in response to medillustratorby Limnos,How old are iPad1s now? Apple only supports hardware for 5 years. Usually after about 4 years you really start seeing support drop off. But that's for computers. I recall when we bought an iPhone the salesperson said, "You'll get at least two years out if the battery, by which time you'll be thinking about getting a new model anyway."
