Just noticed that the underscore character symbol is missing in the e-mail only keyboard with the new IS. I can't email anyone with an underscore character in there name.

When you hit the 123 button does it appear a couple of buttons to the right?
Can't you put the address in your contacts and then insert it into your email from there without typing?
PS I also have underscore after hitting the 123 button. Are you using some other keyboard layout than English?

The email address isn't completely underlined by any change and the underlining is hiding the underscore?
I just checked m wife's iPad and daughters iPad. Same error. Must be iOS 6????

Ipad 2 issue....not iPod
I have an ipad 2. When you look at the keyboard when typing an email the underscore appears to the right of the space bar when the alpha keys are displayed

Next time you have an issue with your iPad, it would be better to use the forum for that device instead of the one for the iPhone.
