4s With os 6 upgrade won't stream music

I just updated to iOS 6. I have a 4s. I used to be able to listen to pandora on my car stereo (iPod setting) when plugged in via USB. I have a 2012 Nissan Altima. It doesn't recognize the connection and still plays through my phone when plugged in!?!?
