Permanently deleting mail in smart mailbox
I recently setup a smart mailbox. However, when I delete emails, they go into the trash but always come back to the mailbox.
How do I permanently delete emails.

You can't really "delete" email from a smart mailbox in that way. You have to take one of two approaches:
- either delete the mail from its actual physical location (eg, if it's still in the inbox, delete it from there)
- or, modify the smart mailbox rule so that it ignores mail thats in the Trash.
Add a criterion
"Message is not in Mailbox - Trash"
