After updating my iPhone 4s to the new iOS6, my google contacts no longer sync. Any suggestions?

Did you update as a new phone? Or did you just do an update and restore from backup?
If you set up as a new phone you need to set up Google Exchange again to get your mail and contacts to sync.
Also make sure you are looking at the right group in contacts. Tap groups in top left corner to see your choices.
I updated and had to set it up as a new phone in order to get Siri to work. Then I re-entered in the Google Contact credentials in iTunes so that it would sync. I have not heard of Google Exchange...? Also, tapping "groups" from top left corner of where to see the choices on the device...?
Google can now sync contacts using the CardDAV standard. I have an iPhone 4s and iOS6 and it seems to be working so far. Here's the instructions on how to set it up:
