Hi everyone, when I updated my iphone 4s to the latest version of OS meaning IOS6, I noticed that the sound in notification is not working. Only displaying the notification. Anyone anyone else have this problem and if so how to solve it please ?

I've had exactly the same problem! Also the silent button on the side isnt working either. Calls seem to be ok, but emails sms facebook, none of those sounds work. Have you found a solution?

No I haven't. The difference is that my silent button is working and even sound when receving and email or an sms's. My issue is the sound of the notification of the applications. For example facebook, F1Live24 ..
I have the same problem here, I guess the iOS 6 came with a lot of bugs, they might fix it on the next update

I've posted this on three other forums and apparently the 4 of us are the only people in the world who had audible notifications stop working since iOS 6.
Not only that but my iPhone 5 has the same problem as the 4s.
I cannot imagine this is not a widespread issue considering everything was fine on 5.1.1 and I changed NO settings after I updated. I even did a full restore as a new phone and it still does not make a sound for notifications.
It simply can't have only affected 4 phones. If it is a bug more people must be having the same problem.
There are now 5 people. Almost late for work this am because my alarm app silently reminded me it was time to wake up, which is useless when eyes are closed. All notifications are silent.
DITTO! My wife and I updated our ipads to ios6 and now our sound just BAILS after a couple hours. ALL apps with any sound are gone, volume rocker shows the volume at full but no sound perios. LAME.
Add me to the list. My alert sounds will work for a while, but then they stop. It's happened 3 times now on my iPhone 5. I have to shut the phone off and restart to get it back. I was late for work the other day because my alarm made no noise.
I'm having the exact same problem as well! My silent switch is off and all of my other notifications work and my Facebook push notifications work fine there's just no sound!
I have the same problem as everyone above. I didn't have any problems on my iPhone 4, soon as I upgraded my phone over the weekend to iPhone 5 I haven't receive any notifications or hear any alerts saying I have new messages for Facebook. Oh yeah I forgot to mention I'm running iOS 6.0.1 any help will be appreciated.
IOS 6 - Sound notification on iPad
I had the same problem when I updated my IOS 6 on my pad. Couldn't figure it out.
My server was down yesterday... So I wasn't receiving e-mail. I shut the computer off at the power bar (over night) - Everything is working now... Even the sound notifications on my iPad are back.
I don't know if that's what fixed the problem, but worth a try.

I too have this problem with a new iPhone 6.
No calendar alert sound and no sound from "Due" app.
Had the iPhone 4 before this and never had a problem.
After trying many of the potential fixes offered by other posters, it's clear this is a software glitch.
Here is hoping apple hears us and fixes this sooner than later.
