remote backup with Time Capsule ...

Hello Genius !

few days back my MacBook Air was upgraded from Lion to ML. After that Time Machine stop work with remote backups from my home to Time Capsule in my office through internet.

In Finder i see Time Capsule disk, no problem with connect and use data (download/upload). When i open the Time Machine Preferences, click Select Backup Disk ..., i don't see any Time Capsule from home. If the MacBook Air is in the same network in office, Time Capsule works normal. Before in Lion everythings works great ! In ML seems the remote backup was remove by Apple engineers :-(

Do you have same problem ?

Thanks !

P.S. all devices have last firmware

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Here are some troubleshooting articles. I'd start with Pondini:

Have you tried using Airport Utility to see if you can see the Time Capsule?

FWIW - I have 4 Time capsules on an in-house ethernet network and they all work as they are supposed to.

Pjot84 - Is local network hooked directly to the computer? Probably my dense head, but I'm not sure I understand you.

Thanks.

Yes, I can see my Time Capsule as a shared device on Finder. The Time Capsule is at Home, and I am able to see it as a shared device, and connect to it, I beleive through Back to My Mac which is activated.

What I will like t do, is to be able to connect to my Time Machine to keep backing up while I am out of my office. So, would Time Machine application be able to connect to the remote disk on Time Capsule to accomplish this. I have tried many times without success.

Apple's info indicates that it is not recommended to use Time Machine over a separate network, but I dosn't seem to be impossible. I don't care if it is slow in backing up, as long as it does it. I don't need to access Time Machine to retreive any files, just want to be able to keep it up to date by regularly backing up to it.

Any hints ?

Thanks,
