I'd like to know how to add an item to the sidebar via command line. What I'd eventually like to do is write a script that adds a link to a network share (in /Volumes) to the sidebar. This will allow my users to easily click on their network share in the Save As window(s).

No, I didn't find a solution.
I got as far as working out where the information for the sidebar is stored, which is: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist. Unfortunatly, I wasn't able to work out how to add a users home folder to the file.
Please let me know if you make any progress.
