My Ipod does not remain charged for long, an hour or so max. When I used to have a shuffle it would stay charged for at least 10 hours, do i have a faulty Ipod?

How old is the iPod? It sounds like the battery could be worn out (if older in age) or faulty (if still fairly new). How long do you leave it to charge?

Hi thanks for the response, I purchased it off Ebay a few months back, so not sure how old it is. I usually leave it attached to my computer at work all day, so I guess charging 7-8 hours. Is there anything you could advise trying, such as how would I check the battery being a bit worn out, or giving it a new lease of life?
when I charge my Ipod i have to do so every day as it only lasts an hour or so before it is flat again, so annoying.
