iPhone 4 not working with Philips speaker docks after iOS 6 upgrade

I have two Philips speaker docks that worked fine with my phone before. After I upgraded to iOS 6, both devices don't recognize the phone as being docked anymore. In the case of the alarm clock it switches off from docked mode so no sound comes out at all. With the speaker dock, the phone doesn't sync with the volume controls on the dock anymore.

Is this a setting on the phone I need to change? Please help!
