iTunes Match subscription says expired

I just got the iPhone 5 and I have iTunes Match subscription until July of 2013. So plenty of time left and I have it turned on on my phone and when I'm on wifi it seems to work fine but if I'm on cellular data after about 20-30 minutes of using it it says my subscription is expired and everything stop working. I haven't tried to call apple yet but it's extremely frustrating. Anyone know what's going on?

Pretty sure this is an iOS 6 upgrade bug. I had the problem on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to iOS 6. I just got an iPhone 5 and did not restore my iCloud backup. Just set it up as a new phone. No problems with Match on cellular anymore.

I'm not sure if there's an easier way, but I think that restoring as a new device will fix it. Maybe someone can try restoring from iOS from iTunes and report if that works even when restoring the backup. Maybe it only affects iOS delta upgrades from 5 to 6?

The other option is to disable Match until iOS 6.1 and try again. Not any great solutions that I'm aware.

SOLUTION:::!!!!!

I'm an idiot, with my job, I should know better! No one has to DFU their phone! As usual, with any iOS kinks, disable and re-enable the iTunes Match under settings. A restart may be helpful but probably not necessary. Even though my new 5 said it expired and to renew on a computer and erased my library of music, I went into music under settings and flipped the toggle to enable match and its back on and my match music is streaming perfectly. That was a scare!!! Glad there's a fix!

All,

I bought iTunes Match one week ago today, and got the same message. After reading this thread, I decided to call the support line. Apple support asked me to go to http://expresslane.apple.com and submit a ticket. The problem is that this issue isn't listed as a default, even though support said that there have been a lot of occurances and is related to iOS6. They asked me to submit the ticket (as suggested by JHecht5106) under iTunes. So that's done now...

As a side note: iTunes Match still currently works on my iPad, AppleTV and MacBook and Laptop, so it has to be related to iOS 6. I wonder if it has to do with cellular data usage? Or is it truly just a bug?

Follow up...

Okay, so after spending 2 hours on the phone and chatting on the computer with Apple, nothing got resolved. I was extremely annoyed, and after I got off the phone, I ended up fixing iTunes Match myself. This has got to be the easiest solution and I'm kind of annoyed with myself that I didn't try this sooner...

Here's how:

Restart the phone

Open Settings--->Music

Scroll down to iTunes Match (should be in the "Off" position) and turn it "ON". HAHA...for some reason, it is working just fine now for me.

I wish it was more complicated or makes me look smarter than I am, but it was just that I needed to reset and turn the feature back on.

Hope this helps...

To those that think they found a solution:

You're probably just on WiFi. I didn't have a problem with Match on WiFi and indeed, it would seem like it was solved just by turning it back on, but ONLY on WiFi.

As soon as you are on a cellular network again (or disable WiFi) then Match will say your subscription is expired.

So in short, I'm not convinced that anyone has solved this besides restoring as a new device.

Had the same problem today, and tried a few things that finally worked at least for me. In addition to sliding the "iTunes Match" switch off and on in preferences, I also signed in to my AppleID from the iPhone and "removed device" from iTunes Match. I thought to try this because my iPhone wasn't in the list of devices available through iTunes. Anyway- that seemed to fix the issue immediately and I have verified that iTunes Match is now working both over wifi and cellular.

I'm having the same issue. After following some the steps listed here, I've concluded the break lies in using Cellular connectivity. iTunes Match only works on WiFi for me. Once I go off, it's like a time starts ticking until the error message kicks in and I lose my iTunes Match on iPhone. As well, I've noticed in my associated devices under my iTunes Match account, my iPhone 5 is not associated. I've tried different ways to get it to associate with my account but it never takes.
