wifi disabled on my 4s after iOS6 update, would it be possible to have a system restore on an old iTunes10.6.1.7?

I was hoping to fix my 4s by syncing it to my old iTunes and doing a restore, would it help downgrade my device? I really don't think that this is a hardware problem, just like what the tech said. *crosses fingers*
