Green glow on iPhone 5 unlock screen?

I've had my iPhone 5 for a few days now and I've noticed this issue more and more. Whenever I wake my iPhone there is a split second where a green glow around the edge of the screen is visible. It's a bit like light leakage but its green and only appears for a fraction of a second after you turn on the screen. It is also sometimes activated by using the slide to unlock, which makes it glow brighter.

Does anyone else have this happening with their new iPhone? I don't know if this is the start of a defect or not... I have had very rare graphical flickering and tearing of the keyboard UI, but that's only happened once or twice and only for a second, as soon as I started typing it went away.

It looks like this might turn into a trip to the Apple store, I just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this weird phenomenon on their new iPhones.

I am waiting for Apple to send me the replacement phone number 6, I haven't checked what week is it before, this one says it's either week 22 or 49.

I agree with Glenzymc... I don't know how right I could be but I don't think an iPhone's serial number ends in 3 numbers or 3 letters, mine doesn't. I haven't seen any light leakage but I have seen the green issue with ALL of the models I've had (and still going). I do believe it's something to do with static electricity because it is very noticeable when taking it out of my pocked, have also replicated the glow it with the palm of my hand. This is the last replacement hopefully.

I'm going on to my 4th iPhone 5 now it's very annoying.

The reason for me believing it had something to do with the s/n ending with TWD is because I know 8 other people with iPhone 5's.

6 of them people have the green glow and all of their s/n ends with TWD but the other 2 people never had this problem with their iPhone 5's and their s/n ends with TWH and TWF.

One thing I've found is that using a screen protector, 99% of the time, will fix the green glow, or at least reduce it greatly. The problem is I hate the feel of screen protectors, and all the hassle with putting them on and getting the dust/bubbles out. For me, I'd rather just put up with the green glow!

On a side note, Ive tried all the iPhones in my local apple store, even the one of the store assistant, and they all glowed. I cant believe that apple is still unaware of this issue, they haven't made it public and apple stores are still surprised to see it. I guess we'll have to wait till the 5S to see if apple are actually fixing this!

I wonder, if the iPhone 6 doesnt have the issue, Apple might be inclined to allow us all a free/pay the difference upgrade (even if were on contracts), as there seem to be no iPhone 5s in existence that dont have some form of green glow? I personally think this issue is much more widespread, its just most people arent noticing it. (or use screen protectors which oddly stop 90% of the green glow)
