You can use the feedback option in aperture to request it though. More than likely it wont come until Canon or Nikon release some more DSLRs, which is usually what prompts an update. For what it's worth you can use the Adobe DNG converter which will convert the sony .arw file into a .dng file that Aperture can read. It is another step to your workflow but you can do it.

Oct 24, 2012 11:07 PM in response to Magic Featherby DavidGilmore,Well, I upgraded to iPhoto 9.4.1 but it still won't process RAW from the Sony Rx-100. SO now what do I do?

Oct 24, 2012 11:54 PM in response to DavidGilmoreby Magic Feather,★HelpfulAre you trying to import photos you already imported? When you ran software update, did you see the update for Digital Raw, not just iphoto? Run software update again if not. Also, turn off 'don't import duplicates' and your RAW photos should import. I can confirm this works with Aperture, which by proxy should work with iPhoto.

Oct 25, 2012 6:44 AM in response to Magic Featherby DavidGilmore,After I installed the new iPhoto I realized that I also needed to run Software Update as well. In fact twice. And on the 2nd time it brought in the RAW support and yes it now works! Wehooooo!!! Thanks so much for your help.
