I Too Am Having This Problem, I Press The Home Button Once, I Get The Multitasking Menu. I Hold It Too Get Siri, It Just Takes Me Too The Home Screen, And When I'm On The Home Screen And Try To Get Siri, It Takes Me Too Finder. This Is Rediculous. I Have My Genius Appointment Set Up, But I Was Diagnosed Over The Phone With A Defective Home Button And Antenna (Not Connecting To AT&T). This Is My Second Replacement, And Now I'm Moving Onto My Third iPhone 5.

I found that if you plug the charger cable in and hold slight pressure on it while pushing on your home button with a little more than normal pressure but not mashing it, it will fix that problem. Still have my original iPhone 5 with this issue and it fixes it. Also to recalibrate the button open a stock app like clock and once it's open hold your top button until the red slide bar to shut off the phone comes up. Then let go of top button and hold your home button until the app closes. Did both and my home button works like a champ.
