G-Drive (sold in Apple Store) + MacOSX Lion (sold in Apple Store)

A few years ago, I bought a peripheral storage drive (G Drive) from the Apple Store. I tried to use it today; now it says I can't because it isn't MAC OS X Lion (I also purchased my Lion OSX from the Apple store)? What to do now?
