Q: headphones auto sleep

I have a good set of headphones that i bought and they seem to always put the ipod shuffle to sleep after about 15 seconds or so of listening to a song. They sound good but it just doesnt want to stay awake to play. Is there a way to disable to auto sleep feature or is there an adapter i could get?

Make sure the headphones are plugged all the way in meaning the headset is flush with the body of the Nano and no silver from the plug can still be seen.

This usually occurs when the headphones aren't fully seated and thus detected by the Shuffle.

Otherwise, try resetting the device to see if that does any good.
