I cannot search in app store since ios6 update.

I am experiencing the same problems trying to search the App Store. I am simply faced with a blank screen. Both myself and my wife upgraded to iOS6 and wish we hadn't. It is a poor upgrade. I am not going to mention the maps debacle. Oh, whoops I have. If Apple doesn't allow a return to the google mapping they will have lost 2 customers as we shalll both use another smartphone.

Have managed to get the app search to work. Heaven knows how, but it is working.

I have the same problem. I bought the new iPad yesterday. The first thing I did was upgrade to iOS 6. I was using the App Store for several hours with no issue searching to my heart's content. Then all of the sudden the search feature stopped working. I can't search for anything now. It just sits their blankly staring me in the face. I've restarted the iPad twice to no avail. Grrrrrrrrr.

I Have the same problem. I was searching the App Store yesterday and all of a sudden the feature stopped working on my iPhone 5. The feature works fine on the iPad and my husbands iPhone 5, but won't work on mine. Please help! I have already shut down the phone and that didn't work

Same problem here but with the iTunes store. 😟

Hope they fix this soon. Was working fine yesterday.

Further to my earlier posting. I am trying to recall how I managed to get the App Store search facility to work as the same problem has arisen with my wife's phone (maddeningly upgraded to iOS6).

The way I seemed to resolve the issue was to go into one of the other sections such as "charts" or "featured". I clicked on categories and just clicked randomly on apps. I then clicked back onto search and it seemed to free itself.

I tried that but still doesn't work for me. I spent 10 minutes randomly clicking on apps and went back to search. It appeared to be working but I still got a blank white screen

Mine started working again. I'm not sure how or if I did anything. I remember putting it into Airplane mode and then back to normal. I also connected to a different WiFi network and then back to my own. Who knows what did it.

I have the same problem, try to search for songs in iTunes (on my iPhone 4s) and just get a blank screen since yesterday. The search in iTunes on my iPad is fine, what gives. Annoying.😠

My "app" app disappeared totally with iOS 6 update. So did You Tube. Gos knows what else! Additionally, app sync page in iTunes is frozen.

The elimination of You Tube was planned by Apple. If you are on an iPhone you can download the official You Tube application from the App Store. If you are on an iPad there isn't yet a You Tube app available. You need to download something like Jasmine which is probably the most popular substitute.

I'm having the same issue. Contacted apple support via email. I'll update this when I get a response.

I'm having the same problem with the iTunes app on iPhone 4 upgraded to iOS6.

When syncing to iTunes, is your App Page in iTunes sync frozen, too?

I spoke to support and was able to fix both problems. On your iPhone, go Settings>General>Restrictions.

Disable Restrictions. Go to Desktop/main page and look for App store. You can go back into restrictions and enable, but make sure the iTunes, Installing Apps, and Deleting Apps are "ON" to prevent restrictions from blocking.

There seems to be a glitch here in the iOS 6 download, because even though reistrictions was enabled on my iphone, "iTunes, Installing Apps, and Deleting Apps" were "ON" allow and should not have been restricted. Disabling and then enabling seems to have fixed the glitch. "Apps" tab in iTunes sync is working now, too.
