Flagged emails not showing up in Flagged box under mail

Hi,

I just got my iPhone 5 two days ago, and it seems that when I flag emails not all of those that I flag show up in the flag box. For example, I have flagged three emails from my AOL account, and all but one stays in the flagged box. If I go back to the email that does not show up in the flagged box, it shows the orange flag indicating that it is flagged. Once I back out of the inbox & return to the main screen list of email accounts, it will show that I have three emails flagged for about 2 seconds and then goes right back to 2 emails, erasing the thrid from the flagged box. Any ideas, suggestions or is anyone else experiencing this?

I am also having this problem! I recently updated my new iPad, iPhone 4S, and iPod touch 4g to ios6. I was so happy to see a flagged mail box, I really needed it! BUT...it is only showing 2 of my 7 flagged emails on all devices! I have to search for the flagged emails (which defeats the purpose) and they still show they are flagged. I would really like this feature to work properly because I don't remember all the emails I flag, so they really need to show up in the flagged box. I also have an AOL account.

I think I got it figured out.....for some reason the flagged mail box is also only showing "recent emails". I went to settings....mail,contacts,calendar.....under Mail, I changed Show to 1,000 recent messages, once I did that all my flagged mail showed up in its mail box! One would think it wouldn't matter if it was recent or not....flagged is flagged! But, at least it seems to be working! Hope this helps.
