"Delete Everywhere"....Seriously? I dont want to!!!
iPhone 4: iOS 6.0
OS: Win 7
iTunes: 10.7.0.21
This seemed like a simple idea, even for Apple.
I wanted to take my pictures from the camera roll and place them in folders to keep them organized. Folders were created, no problem and pictures were moved around and situated in the new folders. A relocation and a homecoming all at the same time, if you will. It was a short lived happy moment.
Then I wanted to delete the pictures from the camera roll, but that is the problem. It wants to delete "Everywhere". I don't want it to delete from everywhere (I really don’t), just the camera roll.
I get it. Apple has placed a copy of the photo in the new folder and retained the other.....because it likes two copies???
So I have been reading the ASC's and read several places that once you sync your phone and laptop, that the newly created folders would transfer over to the laptop and you could delete then from the camera roll. That doesn’t happen, might have been helpful, but it didn’t. The new folders on the iPhone, do not show up on the computer. If it does...it’s hiding very well! I'll take the frustration to one more level. The picture folders that "were" on the phone (the old established folders from the computer), are now not on the phone (they are still on the computer, but it looks like during all the new construction they decided to just move out). Just lovely. My favorite miss information form ACS’s is to hit the "green arrow at the top right" on the camera roll/picture. In all the years I have had an iPhone....I have not set eyes on such an elusive green arrow. Those of you promoting the "green arrow"...how about a screen shot so the rest of us can be every with green.....and arrows.
I must have missed a step somewhere......cause that isn’t working and neither is the very, very simple idea of just deleting one picture and not both pictures.
Please help.
