Hello there,

I am very sorry to reply to an old thread but this issue is still following us like a ghost.

Your advice was helpful once. However, now my iPad3 is stuck on "the Connect to iTunes screen" and iTunes does not react to the connection via cable.

So what do I do now? I have bee using this device since 2012 and never purchased the support. (very simply there has not been any need for)

I would be very thankful if someone could provide me with further instructions.

Smith

If the Reset doesn't work, try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:

1. Turn off iPad

2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone

3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad

4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen

5. Release the Home button

6. Open iTune

7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"

8. Use iTune to restore iPad

Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

I ran the update on the iPad4, all seemed well after the numerous "can't download" errors. Late last night I noticed it said it was installing the update! Which it then commenced doing. This was after the update had been supposedly applied and took a couple of hours. The screen is now stuck on the Apple logo, I cannot turn it off, if I reboot it goes back to the logo. The computer/itunes cannot see the iPad when connected. Needless to say I am not well pleased.

My iPhone installed the update but I could not see any of the changes such as the mic in messages. This morning I checked and it was still at IOS 7.1.1 standard, most odd. I just updated from the .ipsw that I downloaded, took about 15 minutes and now I can see the changes. My iPad however is about to go with me to the Apple store for a conversation.
