How do I upload a Pages document to iCloud?

Hi, I have a MacBookPro and I recently updated the OS to Lion and purchased Pages '09 (version 4.1). For some reason I cannot upload Pages documents to iCloud.

I have followed the instructions on the Support pages, but when I go into www.icloud/iwork I don't see the "gear" symbol in the top right hand side of the page that the support page says I need to click on. All I see are two links, one marked "Learn more" and another marked "Get Pages".

I've read on these pages that I can try dragging the Pages document into the icloud/iwork window, but when I try this I get the message "There was a problem uploading a document".

I'd be really grateful if someone could let me know what I can do to fix this.

Pages '09-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

In order to use Pages in icloud.com, besides the Pages '09 on the mac, you also need to have Pages for iOS on at least one device that is connected to the same icloud account.
