    Oh my god guys please stop speculating and hear this at once:

     

    THE PROBLEM IS WITH UNLOCK. AFTER YOU CONTACT APPLE AND EXPLAIN THE SITUATION THEY WILL UNLOCK YOUR PHONE. SIMPLE AS THAT.

    THERE IS NO CONFIGURATION OR MESSING WITH ANYTHING.

    THEY WILL SOLVE IT FOR YOU, THEN WILL ASK YOU TO RESTORE THE PHONE, WHEN YOU DO THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE MESSAGE: CONGRATULATIONS YOUR PHONE IS UNLOCKED.

     

    AFTER THAT YOUR SMS WILL BE NORMAL.

     

    STOP SPECULATING.

    Guys,

    Good news for me too after a long wait.

    Got an email that settings have been changed on my phone. SMS working fine now after restore.

    Diogo is right, its an Unlocking issue that only Apple can resolve.

    How long did you guys waited? I've been waiting for 2 weeks.. still.. nothing! It's really frustrating!

    I had to wait more than three weeks. It is frustating indeed.

    I suggest this to better yor chances:

    a) Call up Applecare in your country or schedule a call with them after sending email to support@apple.com

    b) Give them a copy of your original receipt

    c) Give them a link to this forum

     

    If you feel utterly frustrated. Although I dont like this method, the frustration and wait cn drive you crazy, so it justified.:)

    hello Guys,

    I copletely agree with Diagodasilva. im from Sri Lanka, I complained about 3 weeks ago to all the big shots in Apple, this morning they sent me a mail as to erase all the contents and settings and retore with I tunes. when Starting it It said "CCONGRATULATIONS YOUR PHONE IS UNLOCKED." and then I backed up with icloud.

    wow. its working. guys Dont worry. juct inform them or call them untill they give u a reference number. (Case Number) then pls wait. and give them some time, untill they come back to u.

    I waited 3 weeks since my first mail.

    "THANKS APPLE U GREAT."

    Hello ALl

     

    i got mail from apple asking me to erase all setting and content

    i did it then a message on i tunes appeared : Congratulation your iphone is unlocked

    then i restored phote data from itun to device  ,

    still i have the same issue , cant send text message  . message given NOT DELIVERED

    Don't use country codes during sending SMS and, most probably, you' ll be fine. I  have international version of iphone 5 (not Sprint and getting Phone is unlocked message after every restore), but still had the problem with sending SMS to country local contacts ( mainly to recipients from different service provider, than used myself) untill have cleared all local code prefixes (+371 in my case), including + sign in my contacts ( used Contacts Tools app from AppleStore to do it in 1 sec for my all 350 contacts). Now everything works fine

    i got also same mail from apple

    you have to restore the software from itune , then make sure sms call center is your carrier is correctly updated ,

    now its working i can send sms as well i message is working well ,

    thxxx apple team for the proffessionalism in handling issue

    I don't know why you all are emailing and waiting weeks. From the reply I got from support@apple.com, no one even checks it.

    I called Apple Support, told them my issue and gave them that support article someone mentioned a few pages back. I got my issue resolved and it only took 48 hours.

     

    Pretty simple IMHO.

    Yesterday I contacted Apple Customer care online team & solve the issue on my phone now.

     

    Thank you Apple Customer Care Team for kind help given me to resolve SMS issue on my phone.
