How do I find the model number?
I need to know the model # of my ipod touch 8G. I don't know what generation the ipod is.

I am also trying to identify my 'gen', but this article does not help me. Under the ABOUT heading in SETTINGS, it says "Model PE979LL/A". There is no model even close to this in the article. Am I looking for a different model number somewhere else?
