iPhoto crash during Facebook upload

Question

This happened four times today — iPhoto 9.4, OS X 10.7.5, MacPro 1,1 8gbEach crash had the same code with the same thread that crashed (details below)This is pretty serious. Pmod,I had a similar issue yesterday and contacted AppleCare about it.  Here are the steps we went through to help solve the problem in my case.Within iPhoto, go to the menu bar and select iPhoto -&gt; Preferences -&gt; Accounts and remove your Facebook account by selecting it and clicking on the "-" box below.Close the Preferences window and iPhoto.Open a Finder window.  In the menu bar click on &#x27;Go&#x27; and then press-and-hold the Option key.  A new selection - Library - will pop up.  Select it.Go to the Preferences folder.Find the files with a .plist extension that have the word iPhoto in them (something like com.apple.iPhoto.xxx.plist).  Delete these files.Reopen iPhoto.Re-add your Facebook account like in step 1 above.This worked for me.  After going through this I was able to upload an 80+ photo album without a crash.  Good luck!

I just found this thread searching for the same crash, and found that an abbreviated version of the above worked well for us.  Instead of all 7 steps, try only: step 1, close the preferences window, then step 7.Solved our problem perfectly!

I have this problem too, followed the 7 steps and have just re-tried with the same crash. 24 images in small event, upload gets about half way through before stalling, pausing and then crashing iPhoto. At least when I &#x27;phone AppleCare I can tell them I&#x27;ve already tried that option!Q
