Q: Why since updating to ios6 has my sim stopped working and all I get is No Service?

I have a ipad 3 which was working fine and able to use the sim while out on the road! Since I have updated all it says is No Service I have been on itunes and it has supposed to have updated my carrier settings? However its still the same, not happy as I have only had the ipad 4 months
