Final Cut Express - Exported footage is "choppy."

Hi,

I am working on a project in Final Cut Express HD Version 4.0.1. The project is a simple 5-second clip of making my brother teleport across the yard. The footage I'm using was shot in AVCHD and imported to FCE using the log and tranfer feature. I exported it using QuickTime Conversion and set it to Apple Intermediate Codec at 1080i. When I view it in QuickTime Player 10, it seems really "choppy." It seems sort of like the frame rate has been reduced greatly. How can I fix this? It has never happened before, and I think it is because I am using AVCHD footage for the first time (I had been converting it but then I found out I could use log and transfer).

Also, it turned out being over 80mb, but it's less than 5 seconds long! How can I fix this?

Thanks,

Adam

Maybe the frame rate has been reduced?

In QT10 hit Command-i open the inspector and have a look.
