iPhone 5 camera purple halo

I have a 64GB Black Verizon iPhone 5. I noitced when I was taking pictures in sunight, and in well lit rooms, the camera had a purplish halo. I have called apple and verizon 4 times today each. They will not replace my phone! I don't know why and apple says it would be $850 to replace. Verizon is giving me conficlting information. Every person gives me different information! I tried to return it to Verizon today, no luck. How do I get them to replace my phone for free since it has a hardware defect?

Please help! I am so mad about all of this

I know it is not normal because Verizon and Apple have heard about this. My nearest Apple Store is 170 miles away

They did Replace to me, but it is of no use I guess, My replaced phones do have the same issue. I guess Apple failed with this and they are saying it is normal now. Miss Steve Jobs ! at least for the antena issue, he gave free cases ! I really dont worry about Software issues, but if it is to do with Hardware.. it is there for ever !
