mail attachments no in right order

since upgrading to mountain lion, when i send an email with several attachments, they no longer appear in alphabetical or numerical order, but a random order :O(

when i select them from the finder window, they are listed in order and named 1 to 10 and then they attach into the email and end up in a completely random order. any ideas how i can fix this?
