Upgrading to Mountain Lion

Hi, I have the 10.5.8 OS X version and I want to upgrade to the Mountain Lion OS; what should I do now?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 8 GB RAM, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

You have to upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6.x) before you can upgrade to Mountain Lion. Apple no longer sells the disc online but you should be able to get it by calling 1.800.MYAPPLE.

$20 bucks for the SL Install DVD, then a further $20 bucks to get the ML installer at the App Store. Be sure to back everything up, preferably as bootable clones, in case something goes awry along the way.

I'm going to sleep. No points to be gotten in the forums while Clint is on a rampage with his new toy...
