Mmmmm...for me is becasue I have a 2007 MacPro1,1 ("only" DualCore 2.66Ghz + 9GB of ram) and Mountain Lion is not installabile on these oldest machine.

@mucsist: Mountain Lion makes battery lifetime half the one it had with lion on my mid2011 MacBookAir. So no, I won't re-install it.

Just curious...was your battery lifetime still half with 10.8.2? Because reports were that 10.8.2 was supposed to restore battery life to at least as long as before.

OK. This Supplemental Update works for me too.

Time Machine backup and Spotlight are working again.

I uninstalled ML before 10.8.2, so did not test. And do not want to test again since ML did not brought much to me.

Supplemental Update works for me. Took a while, but Apple came through in the end.

Too many hours wasted, though, this week.
