Netboot with 'sticky' user stuff possible?

Hello,

over here there's a 10.8.2 Server 2.1 netboot server for diskless 10.6.8. clients.

What I'd like to do is:

Allow admins to make changes to some prefs on some clients while netbooted, and make those 'sticky'. Like in a semi diskless mode with a USB-Stick on which the changes reside and remain. So /Volumes/myUSBstick/Library/Netboot/NetBootClients0 should override the server's /Library/Netboot/NetBootClients0.

Can this be done at all and if so, how?

Thanks, Hans
