Q: How do I download older version of airport utility into OSX Lion - am being prevented from doing so.

I am trying to reset my older Airport Extreme Base Station in OSX LIon (10.7.5) and cannot download Airport Utlity 5.6 (recommended) - is there any other way other than buying newer base station? Thanks

I can verify that AirPort Utility 5.6 for Lion will run on the 10.7.4 operating system, but do not have a 10.7.5 Mac handy to test.

 

Check again to make sure that you are downloading the correct version of AirPort Utility 5.6 in the link below.....not 5.6.1.....which will not run on the Lion operating system.
