Q: write access not granted

Trying to save images in PS CS6 but keep getting the message that I cannot because "write access not granted"

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    Terrific. That's fine. The problem is the NTFS format on the other drive.

    If you want to use it on Mac, you need to copy off your data, then erase it on a PC.

    Hi I'm a stupid new Mac user and I'm having this same problem.  Can you help me.  I need to be able to save to a Lacie pocket drive that is formatted NTFS.  How do I do this??

    I know this sounds stupid but I was getting this error randomly as well and I eventually figured out that if the file in question was selected in the finder, ie. still highlighted from when I clicked on it to open it, I would get the error but if I went back to the Finder and de-selected it by clicking away I would be able to save unmolested by error messages. Somehow having the file highlighted locks it or something.
