Not an Apple or computer guru - Can anyone help please w/my iPhone backup?

My iPhone 4 was stolen earlier this year and never located. I have a backup from that phone on the iCloud. I was about to delete it but thought I should ask someone first. Should I go ahead and erase it or is there a way I can restore/transfer that backup to my iMac or other iPhone 4S? Thanks in advance for responding!
