When I search for apps in the apps feature I just meet a blank screen
iPhone 4
Connect your iPhone to iTunes.. Once connected let it do its thing and than right click on "XXXX's iPhone" on the left side and click "Back up" Once backed up open the app store on your iPhone and search for something it should work!
Same thing happened to me today.
Running ios6 on my ipad2.
Updated to ios6 on Sept. 19th, so why now, 13 days later???

I can search apps, but Featured, Charts, Genius and Purchased tabs are all blank. But this problem is only on the iPad, my Mac and iPhone has no problems with the App Store. I tried resetting the iPad, but it didn't help.

I'm using iPhone 5 and I see the same blank screen whether I am on wifi, 4G or LTE. I can still download updates by the search isn't working.
mine was fixed by itself. probably the problem is on apple's side of things.
My 4gs did the same had to restore I found it lost the search after used the passport app to go tithe App Store maybe there is a conflict with the apps
Happening on my iPhone 5 on AT&T.
happening on my iPhone 4S, iOS6.
But for me it's the Featured, Chart and Genius that are showing blank screen.
my latest iPad with iOS6 is working perfectly fine.
Notes on icloud.com was having some issues as well, and it's fixed now.
I suppose Apple's server is overwhelmed with sudden increase of the icloud activation, with the recent iPhone 5's launch.
hi everyone, this works for me:
1. setting>general>date&time = set automatically to OFF
2. set your year to 2013
3. off and connect again your network connection and open your app store. wait and see..it should now open!
4. you can set back your date&time = set automatically to ON again.

Same exact issue here....
Tried the workaround offered by Ruichuen1989 but didnt work for me. (Interestingly it worked when wanting to access Passbook on the Appstore when ios6 was first released and passbook was not working).
I am on an iPhone 4, was working fine till Oct 3 running iOS6. Only affects search, all other views on app store work. Search works fine on my iPad 2 running iOS6????
Hopefully someone from Apple can tell us its at their end???
This happened to me today....but, iTunes works fine, only Apps Store won't load.
I updated to ios6 on Sept 19th, and it worked fine until today.
UPDATE:
Last night, I went to Settings/ iTunes and Apps Store /
switched OFF Automatic Downloads for MAPS, then switched it back ON.
After doing this I have the "Featured" page in APPS, and "Charts",
but still any "SEARCH" LISTED ITEMS DO NOT LOAD.
Same problem happened to me too a couple of days ago, tried everything, but the problem still persists.
This solution fixed the problem. THANKS A LOT

FOLLOW THESE STEPS

I resolved this issue by plugging in my iPhone5 and restoring it on itunes to factory. All of the other options did not work.
