Searched for an answer for this but so far no luck - sorry if this has already been solved elsewhere.

I have an iPhone 4S running iOS6 (although I was having this issue pre-iOS6). My iPhone sends iMessages, so long as they are text, fine, delivers read receipts, everything fine when I'm on WiFi. It used to send photos on all the WiFi connections I typically use (home, campus, favorite coffee shop, etc.) but about a week prior to iOS 6 it decided it would no longer send photos via iMessage. When I want to send a photo I have to turn off my wireless, and send the photo on data. Then I turn wireless right back on and resume sending texts via iMessage. I have no issues with other WiFi functions - web browsing, etc. is unaffected.

SMS and MMS are on. My iMessaging is directly linked to my phone number, not my Apple ID, if that makes a difference?

Hoping someone can help with this, especially since it appears its not my wireless signal thats the problem as my iPhone has decided to do this over multiple different wireless signals it used to not have an issue with..

i am having pretty much the same issue as you, except i can send/recieve imsg pic/video from my work wifi, but my home wifi i can only recieve pic/video, can't send.  All sending of text works fine, no issues with facetime and i have tired the reset network settings and turning on/off imessage.

Do you have the same apple id with multiple devices ?

I am having exactly the same problem, sending image through 4G works charmly, but over WIFI it stucks at 95% and ends with red not delivered. Who need a phone (a iPhone 5) that cannot send image, Apple have been disappointing me so much now. Need to see if anyone can solve this.

No, my AppleID is only linked to my iPhone and my MacBook Pro (which does not have messages installed).

I am on the Telus network.

I'm really really disappointed in apple. Why would I shell out cash for an iPhone 5 when the operating system doesn't work properly on my current phone? In addition to this iMessage issue other issues I'm facing include abbreviated texts (ie typing "brb" and having my phone correct it to "be right back") don't work anymore, despite me checking to make sure they hadn't been erased during updates; and now today my iPhone decided to do this great trick where it SAYS its connected to my wifi, displays the blue check mark, but remains connected to 3G in the upper status bar. Turning wifi off and on as well as restarting the phone does not fix this.

Come on apple. You've basically secured the fact that this will be my last apple purchase. Funny that my friends with androids and windows phones never have any problems, isn't it?

I'm having the same issue. I can send pics over 3G. But when I use wifi I cannot send pics thru iMessage with my 4S or ipad2. Both running iOS 6. I'm guessing this is an iOS 6 issue as I had no issues previous to my update. And I know it's not a carrier issue bc my iPad is a wifi only model. Someone at apple please shed some light on this.

Yup, same problem. Have the iPhone 5 ios6...picture messages work fine over 3G, but not wifi. Read somewhere that it could have something to do with my wireless gateway from Comcast. Though before the upgrade pictures sent just fine over wifi. Please fix...I'm very annoyed.

MMS/iMessage pictures wont send while connected to my WiFi at home.

I too am having problems sending pics over imessages since updating to iOS6 on my ipad2.  Can't seem to find a solution.

Same problem here. Highly unlikely Apple will ever post here. Enough people complain and some day there might be an update that includes a fix for this problem. The forums, as far as I can tell, are just a place for customers to gripe. Apple it seems, isn't in the habit of being interactive.

This version of iOS seems to be the Apple equivelent of Windows Vista, only in mobile form. My phone now quits apps for no reason, touch screen doesn't respond at times, the list goes on and on. You sure can tell Steve isn't at the helm demanding excellence. Sloppy!! The gap between Android and iOS/Apple is narrowing. Soon it seems, all smartphones will be mediocre.

Same problem here, I can still send pics through iMessage from my iPod which is iOS5 with no issues at all...  but on my iOS6 iPad 3 I can no longer send pics "! Not Delivered"  I can still send text and receive both text and pics from other users... the ones that can send them anyway.  I think that since Steve Jobs is gone that the "new management" that has taken over Apple is rushing to push out update after update hoping to keep itself on top of the mobile giants. However they seem to be only paying attn to speed and getting stuff out first rather then the quality of what they are actually getting out there.
