How do I download my Microsoft office on to my MacBook Air using airdrop from my iMac? Please help

Out of curiosity, does Microsoft's licensing allow for such an install and/or more than one install? I just did a cursory check on their licensing and found that most are only licensed for one computer unless you buy a special key card.

I had a different app once that was only allowed on one computer; it would not install on the other Mac. You may therefore encounter problems - since you must have an install CD, why not use that if you have the key card allowing you to install it on more than one?

I have MS Office 2004 on my iMac and my MBA. Did a drag and drop and it copied over straight away. It does tell me if I didn't close it on the other machine if I try to open it on both at the same time.

So you're saying their regular license allows two installs? That's great then - I couldn't find anything about that, but then I'm also not that familiar with any MS site or how to find things there.

Well, not really. I'm saying that you can get it to work but it will stop you from having it up on more than 1 machine at a time. Literally opens a pane that says MSOffice is already running and you don't have permissions to open it again. If you close it or turn off network connection it will open. Probably not as per their license but I'm not sharing it with anyone and I bought it so I'm using it where I need it. 😮
