Volume stuck on high

The side buttons don't seem to be working either 😟

Every time I adjust the volume using my finger, the buttom returns to high on its own...

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6

Try This...


Close All Open Apps... Perform a Reset... Try again...


Reset ( No Data will be Lost )


Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

If not successful:

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup

- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
