Everytime I try to download itunes 10.7 I get error code 2324. Can anybody help with this situation? I'm trying to sync my new iphone 5 but I can't without updating my itunes, but I can't update my itunes, so please help!
Let's try the fixit from the following Microsoft document:

This helped the situation, but now it says,"The Installer has insufficient priveleges to modify this file: C;\Program Files\iTunes\iPodUpdaterExt.dll." What does that mean and can you help me fix this too? Thanks. I've had this phone since Saturday and still can't sync it.
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?
I ran the Chkdsk, and it found no problems with the disk. Any other suggestions 😕 ? Thanks.
Okay. If we can't fix the damage, let's try hiding it from the installers.
In Computer (My Computer if you'r on XP), open your C:\ Drive.
Open the "Program files" folder.
Rename the "iTunes" folder iTunesOLD
Try another install. Any better luck?

I'm having the same problem! I just called APPLE (located in San Antonio TX) and spoke to "Indie" who basically told me that its my security software from verizon that is the problem. She wants me to call Verizon...they may be able to help me.
