My iPhone had the beta version of iOS 6 on it and that expired so now my phone says it needs to activate but it won't let me because it says the server is unavailable. iTunes won't let me do anything and I've tried putting my phone in restoration mode. I have no idea what to do. My phone is unable to work. Please help.

having same issue apparently the beta version expires even though when it plugs to itunes it tells you that you are up to date. need to go into developer account where you downloaded beta version and download ios6 and reinstal

It's because you were on the iOS 6 beta, which just expired. You'll need to get the final 6.0 release from the developer iOS portal here and install it manually.
Wow brilliant. Same issue here. I was suprised there was no update when they pushed out the real release. I guess they kept the same build number in for the public.

He's right just downloaded and installed the lastest release from developers site posted on the 19th of September not in itunes or OTA for those running ios6 beta
I had the same problem. Hook your iPhone up to your computer and load iTunes. Then, hold the Home Button + the Sleep/Wake Button for about 20 secs, or until iTunes reads your iPhone as a "New" iPhone. Then, you can go from there and download the new update through iTunes, as iTunes will treat the phone as a new device giving you the latest software. Hopefully, you have a recent backup of your phone's information and in the end you can restore from the backup, giving you your old prefrences back. If not, it will just sync with what you have on iTunes, BUT this will help with the update and take your iOS out of beta! Hope this helps!
Don't do that! It's much simpler. Just download the update from the iOS Dev Center and install it manually, no reset required.
no hold down shift than click on restore (windows pc) than select ipsw 6 that you have to download from developers site
