Q: Will you eventually be able to replace your me.com account for your icloud.com account completely?

I'm a little confused. I know there's this transition going on at the moment, but here's what happend to me... I decided to rebuilt my MBA this weekend using a thumb drive for a "clean" install, which worked great. While going thorugh answering questions such as name account etc etc, I was given an iclould.com account to match my 'me' account.

So now I have both an me and icloud account. The icloud account isn't quite working the way it should as far as I'm concerned, I can use it to log in to most iclould services (icloud.com, iTunes etc) but won't send emails. Now, I don't know if this is fully working since I never got an email to say it was fully completed as per this info http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5441?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

 

Are other people going through the same or similar issues with this new account? Is it something I should be doing to fix it? or ... just chill and wait for a confirmation email letting me know this has been fully processed and completed
