iMovie Video Skimming Disable

In iMovie '11 there is a feature that allows you to move the cursor over the filmstrip and a red bar will show up. When this happens I can skim through the video and audio of the clip automatically. I understand I can turn off the audio skimming permanently, and pause the video skimming by holding down the control button. However, is it possible to permantly disable the video skimming so that I do not have to hold down the control button as i move my cursor over the filmstrip? If so, please tell me how. Thanks.
