I upgraded my ipod touch to IO 6 but cannot connect to itunes because the message says I need to download version 10.6.3 but not available from itunes.com. They are only downloading 10.7 and that doesn't seem to download either. Any ideas?

I did that twice and it downloaded 10.7 to my computer but itunes will still not recognize my ipod and says when I replug it in the "the ipod cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.6.3 or later. Go to www..iTunes.com to download the latest version." This is really frustrating.
Uninstall iTunes and install 10.7 version
Exactly the same problem,I upgraded my Ipod touch cause the setting propose to me to do it, but now I have to upgraded my itunes on my mac. I can upgraded my itunes cause I haven't upgrade my OS. Do apple want to force me to upgraded my OS at least?

I'm having the same problem with my Mac Book. I tried syncing my recently updated iPod Touch 4 to iTunes (Version 10.6.1). However, this comes up:
"The iPod “iPod touch” cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.6.3 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes."
I went to link, and tried downloading iTunes 7, but this came up:
"This software requires Mac OS X version 10.6.8 or later."
My Mac Book is running Mac OS X version 10.5.8, and there are no new updates available. I would really like to be able to sync my iPod, so if anyone has advice, please help. Thanks.

iTunes 10.7 will not install on OSX 10.5.8
