apple clearly states they use soft and hard resets.
This Term Hard Reset is bandied about quite often... But there is No Soft or Hard Reset... There is only Reset...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
That's for an Airport base station or Time Capsule, Dario. That information doesn't apply to an iPad.

i dont understand, why would it not? They are all forms of technology, in which all compute numbers.
5 minutes later of more research....
I do now understand that for mobile devices its reset and restore, but isnt it all technically the same process?..
Because what happens on an iPad and on an Airport or Time Capsule are completely different. So no, it is not the same process. A "reset" of a Time Capsule or Airport does a very specific thing, different if it's "soft" or "hard" or "factory default" as stated in the documentation you refer to. A reset of an iPad does none of those things; it's akin to rebooting your computer.
It is very dangerous to make the assumption that procedures and terminologies applicable to any given device apply the same to some other, different, device. It's most often not the case and can lead you into trouble if you presume that such things do apply globally.
