Are you sure you are running Tiger? Your computer profile information says you are running Leopard. If your computer really does date from 2009 then it is too new to run Tiger. You are positive you are using the installer disc that came with the Mac originally?

If you try to boot from an earlier system version it will refuse to boot. It will also refuse to boot if you try to boot using a disc that came with another computer originally.
