Q: Even if I hide my purchases in the "Purchased" tag for my iBooks, the books still show up on the shelf in my library. Is there no way to hide them at all ? I do have some adult books that I do not want my son to read when he uses my iPAD

I followed the tips to hide purchases but this is not good enough for me, the books I bought still show up on my shelf

 

Is there a way not to show the books in my library at all to anyone else using my iPAD?

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

    The hiding only hides them from your Purchased tab, it doesn't affect the books that you've downloaded into the app and are on the bookshelf. With iOS 6 there is a restrictions setting for books for 'explicit sexual content' which says on the restrictions screen 'allows sampling, downloading and reading of Books with Explicit Sexual Content'
